Catching Up With... Episode #2: Random Ramblings of a Demented Doorknob

Catching Up With... Episode #2: Random Ramblings of a Demented Doorknob

We're back, with episode 2 of Catching Up With, in which I'm joined by Nick Jobe of Random Ramblings of a Demented Doorknob.

For those with short memories, this is the micro-podcast in which I interview LAMBs interested in being caught up with. These will generally be in the 10-20 minute range, and I'm hoping that they're a good way to re-spotlight the blogging of longtime members, and serve as an opportunity to put a voice to those bloggers that don't yet podcast. Either way, I'm sure no one would mind having some special attention paid to them again on the main page. I'd prefer to catch up to you all in order of LAMB number (since it wouldn't really be catching up with anyone if they were a brand new LAMB), but that's a totally impossible dream there, so I'll just go first-come, first-served and take it from there.

If you're interested in being caught up with, send me an email with the subject "LAMB Catching Up With," along with your name and site name. I'll be in touch at some point after that. FYI: I don't expect that these will be posted with the regularity of the LAMBcasts, so it could be some time before we get together.

As usual, the music is provided royalty-free by Kevin MacLeod's Incompetech website. Big thanks to Kevin for providing this service.

Catching Up With... is also on iTunes, so you can subscribe there until your fingers bleed.

Please, share your comments, suggestions, or otherwise, about our guest or the show in general. Thanks!

Catching Up With... Episode #1: Jason Soto

Catching Up With... Episode #1: Jason Soto

So, a long time ago, we had a feature on the LAMB called "It's a Wonderful LAMB," where either Nick or I would revisit a LAMB's site and call attention to them - what we liked, where they were from, etc. I liked it, however short-lived it was.

It's kind of along those lines that I got this new idea. It's really simple, but I think could be quite nice. The title is "Catching Up With..." and consists of me interviewing those interested. I've come up with a scripted set of questions to start with, and I'll add some personal questions where applicable. I'm sure the questions will evolve over time, but it's a good start, I think.

These will be more or less be micro-podcasts - though the first one went about 25 minutes, I can't imagine an interview going longer than 10-15 minutes normally. I'm hoping that this is a good opportunity to put a voice to those bloggers that don't yet podcast. (Note: I initially posted this on the forums and have a few people in the queue already).

Here is episode one, starring Jason Soto of Invasion of the B Movies, LAMB #5. Anyone familiar with the LAMBcast won't need to catch up with him all that much, but that doesn't mean he doesn't give some great answers - anyone familiar with Jason knows he just has a certain way with words.

If you're interested in being caught up with, send me an email with the subject "Catching Up With," along with your name and site name. I'll be in touch at some point after that. FYI: I don't expect that these will be posted with the regularity of the LAMBcasts, so it could be some time before we get together.

As usual, the music, as provided royalty-free by Kevin MacLeod's Incompetech website, is the bomb. Big thanks to Kevin for providing this service.

This podcast in not yet listed on iTunes, but you can subscribe to it in iTunes via the podomatic page regardless.
