This is an episode dedicated to Shree Guru Charitra in Marathi.
Shree Guru Charitra, a religious book giving a brief life story of "Shri Narasimha Saraswati Swami Maharaj", was written in the 15th Century by one of his closest disciples.
It contains 33 chapters, and it is written in the form of conversation between Naamdharak and his spiritual Guru Shri Siddha Muni, who was a disciple of Shri Narasimha Saraswati.
It is an experienced fact that the reading of such literature gives mental peace to those who are worried due to different miseries of this worldly life and also encourages and guides them to go ahead on the path of self-emancipation by making their lives sublime and full of highest bliss.

गुरुचरित्र ग्रंथ दत्तसंप्रदायात पूर्वार्ध आणि उत्तरार्ध म्हणून गणले जातात. त्यांचे पारायणही उपासना म्हणून केले जाते.
दिव्य व दैवी परंपरेने चालत आलेल्या मूळ ग्रंथाचा १४८०च्या सुमारास सरस्वती गंगाधरांनी केलेला विस्तार म्हणजेच ‘गुरुचरित्र’ हा ग्रंथ महाराष्ट्रात लोकप्रिय असून दत्तसंप्रदायिकांनी त्याला वेदाची मान्यता दिलेली आहे.
या प्रासादिक ग्रंथाचे 33 अध्याय असून ओवीसंख्या ७४९१ इतकी आहे. काही ग्रंथात 33 अध्याय आहेत व त्यांची विभागणी ‘ज्ञानकांड’, ‘कर्मकांड’ आणि ‘भक्तिकांड’ अशी केली आहे.
सर्वसामान्य मनुष्याने ईश्वराप्रत पोहोचण्यासाठी कशा प्रकारचे आचरण ठेवावयास हवे याचे मौलिक मार्गदर्शन ‘गुरुचरित्रा’च्या माध्यमातून केले असल्याने या प्रासादिक ग्रंथाचे स्थान दत्तभक्ताच्या हृदयात ‘पाचवा वेद’ असेच आहे आणि यात यत्किंचितही अतिशयोक्ती नाही.
दत्तावतार श्रीनृसिंहसरस्वती यांच्या प्रेरणेनेच ‘गुरुचरित्र’ लिहिले गेले. परिणामी या ग्रंथाला ईश्वरी अधिष्ठान असल्याने तो ‘वरदग्रंथ’ असून त्याला श्रीगुरूंनी ‘भक्तकामकल्पद्रुम’ असा वर देऊन ठेवलेला आहे.
योग आणि मंत्रशास्त्राचे प्रवर्तक दत्तात्रेय असल्याने आणि श्रीपादश्रीवल्लभ व श्रीनृसिंहसरस्वती हे दत्तावतारच असल्याने या दोघांच्या चमत्कारपूर्ण लीलांचे वर्णन -

In this episode, we have brought Navnath Bhaktisar Adhyay 40.
Navnath Bhaktisar (literally “Navnath Devotional Essence”) or Navnath Pothi is a miraculous devotional book written by Kaviraj Malu Narhari in 1741 (Jyestha Shukla Pratipadela). The original book, on which it is based, was written by Guru Gorakhnath. The name of the original book is Kimayagaar (Shri Goraksha Kimayagiri Pravah). Ovees (stanzas) in this book are expanded in Navnath Bhaktisar. Both the original and adaptation are in the Marathi language.
Navnath Bhaktisar narrates the life story of the nine saints, including their births, penances, victories, miracles, etc. It has a total of 40 chapters and 7600 stanzas. The 40th chapter (Adhyaya) is considered to be the most important. Reading it is equivalent to reading the whole book. Those who read the book or at least the 40th chapter every day, Navnath themselves stay in their house and protect the readers and their families from all the disasters.
