    Enter In at the Straight Gate

    Enter In at the Straight Gate

    The world wants everyone to think that all roads lead to God. Some think that any godly thing they do leads to God. None of this is true. There is only one way to God and that’s through Jesus Christ. God will not accept a counterfeit. You might be able to fool the preacher but you’ll never fool God. Either you’ve been bought by the blood or you’re a thief and a robber. A world full of people is going the wrong way and traveling the wide path.

    One must make up their mind on which road they want to travel. There are only 2 paths, the right one and the wrong one.

    Hebrews 11:7;

    * Noah

    He could see the promises afar off. He was getting some information from God that the people would perish unless they got on the boat. God will come to each person and you’ll have a choice to make. Either you’ll listen and believe or you’ll turn Him away.

    * Abraham

    God told him some things and he had already decided that he was going to follow God. He didn’t question God but simply followed Him. Which road are you on? Have you been living the foul way? God wants to put you on the right road and set you free.

    * Moses

    God told Moses to do some things too. What he was told was a difficult task and took a long time to complete but he followed God. God told him the reward of his journey. They all had to sell out to God to accept this reward. What promise are you looking for?

    How strong is your faith? These men had a strong faith as if what was actually happening to them was what God had told them. They believed as if the things had already happened. What’s holding you back from doing God’s work?

    Have you been on the wide road too long? Are you satisfied with your travel?

    Not only did they see it from afar and believe with faith that it had already happened, but they also embraced it. They accepted it as truth. They also confessed that they were only pilgrims and strangers to this world. We too should confess that we are just sinners and accept His glory. There are no “half-saved” Christians. You’re either fully saved or fully lost. There is no grey area.

    The Things We Forfeit As A Prodigal

    The Things We Forfeit As A Prodigal

    We look in the mirror and tell the one looking back that everything is alright. We lie to ourselves all the time.

    David was a man blessed by God. Yet David became idle with God and slipped into sin. We then read about his life and its intimacy between him, God, and his downfall. Don’t ever think that his life could never happen in your life. All it takes is one time of becoming lax on God and you’ll fall into the devil's trap.

    If you’ve been born again and done something sinful then you’ll feel the dirtiness in your soul. The dirty, nastiness that sin brings should bring forth the desire to be clean again. Repentance to God is the only way to be clean again. The world’s heart is so dirty that it’s scaled up and can’t be penetrated. Only God can break through the scales or dirt of the world’s sinful desires.

    God knows how to correct His children. Only in love does He chastise His children. Being in sin means you’ve traded your gladness for sadness. In David’s life, he once wrote praises to God but quickly began his regret his sin. If one continues to live in sin one will forfeit the gladness of God. Repent if you’re living in sadness.

    It feels good to feel good. Your sin is ever before God if you have it. It stands between you and God. It will take away the cleanliness, the joy, and the contact with God. It brings shame to ourselves. We play the game of, as long as no one knows about the sin we are okay with it. However, once someone knows about it, we feel shameful. One doesn’t have to live that way. Once you repent to God and He forgives you, did you know that other believers forgive too, and love you just the same?

    It’s important to God that we live right and be clean. God is not shocked by our stumbling, yet is saddened when we choose to sin and not ask for forgiveness from Him. He wants to make you clean. One can ask a backslider why and what you’ll usually hear is that it’s someone else's fault.

    When a saved person decides to live in sin they will soon feel alone and unwanted. God never leaves them but will pull Himself away because He doesn’t like the sin. God never forsakes His children. The devil wants you to give up and makes you feel alone and unloved. It’s hard to live around a backslider. They have a wrong spirit in them and they have an unloved feeling.

    Joy is instantly gone once a person lives in sin. Joy can possibly be found in small things but they are always fleeting, never long standing. Just knowing you’re saved produces a joy that out-ways everything.

    Turn from your sin. Repent of your sin. When you do this, God will pick you up, clean you up, and set you back on the straight and narrow path. One doesn’t have to live apart from God.

    Failing To Pray

    Failing To Pray

    If Jesus needed to pray, wouldn’t it seem more important for us to pray? He has given us the greatest treasure ever and that is to pray. All we must do is humble ourselves and He would hear us when we speak to Him.

    If prayer isn’t changing you then why pray? We all need to get to the place where we pray without ceasing. If your prayers are only one-way, you praying yet no one is calling back, then you’re missing the mark.

    When should you pray?

    We don’t yield to our neighbors and tell them about Christ. We don’t attend church yet when we do we are just there and not engaged. God has proven His love for us over and over again. Just to know that if we’ve been saved we are going to be with Him at the end of our life, is enough love.

    * When you don’t feel like praying, pray.

    * When you’re mad at God, pray.

    * When you’re distressed, pray.

    * When you feel like God is 1000 miles away, pray.

    * What will you do when they outlaw prayer? Pray!

    * When your enemy is larger than you, pray.

    * When your heart is broken or seems too broken, pray.

    * When your life is in danger, pray. This is easy because we are selfish.

    * When you feel like God has deceived you, pray.

    * When your enemy has you surrounded, pray.

    The People Will Perish Foolishly

    The People Will Perish Foolishly

    The preacher's job is to warn the lost of their impending doom if they don’t get saved.

    The word of God shouldn’t be sugarcoated. Sin is sin and it should be said as such. God gives us our needs, not our wants. Just because you do something doesn’t mean you’ll get something. Many churches are out there preaching a false teaching that if you name it you can claim it. That’s false teaching straight from the devil himself.

    People want as much of the world as they can get. Making as much money as you can stand means nothing at your death. A billionaire will die just the same as a poor person. The only thing that makes a difference is salvation. The world can never satisfy the heart and people are trying to fill it with as much of the world as they can.

    Being backslid on God will cause great grief. Your life will be hard a difficult until you repent of your backslid way. If you die being backslid then you will meet God with sin and He will deal with it. The warning is to get your life straightened out with God before He has to straighten out.

    You need to know who you’re talking to. God will not tell you not to read your bible. God is not going to tell us that it’s okay to skip church. The devil wants you to be worried about a lot of things. The wars, rumors of wars, our government, the lack of our government, these worries are from the devil. If you’re saved then you have nothing to worry about. A saved person might have to go through some tribulations but they win and have help through it all. Don’t let the devil keep you from getting to an altar. If God calls you, answer Him.

    God created Hell just as He created the earth. He didn’t create it for us. He created it for Satin and his angels. If you die lost you will enter into Hell as an unwelcome intruder. You will not be “partying it up” in Hell. The people in Hell pray harder than anyone because they want to die and can’t. They want out but there is no exit. They forever are burning but never burn up.
