Today we sit down and chat with Destiny Feemster, an author, educator, and the owner of Ivy League Academics. Destiny is a North Carolina native who has eight children's novels in her "Chronicles of Fabulous Feemster" series and has spent more than six years teaching middle school math in Gaston County, Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, & Wake County Schools. She graduated from North Carolina Central University with a bachelor's in marketing and finance and a Master’s in secondary education from the University of Phoenix.

The Ivy League Academics owner hosts community outreach events, academic services, summer camp, and provides an annual scholarship. Destiny recently in 2023 completed the Women’s Entrepreneurship program from Cornell University and received accreditation from the Better Business Bureau for Ivy League Academics. In 2022 she was the recipient for the Women Who Rock Award.

Today we sit down and chat with my big brother, Tadarius Leak as he joins me for a moment to break through concrete from a few bruised petals as we discuss his life after identity theft. Tadarius is a devoted husband, father, and United States Navy veteran turned faith-based entrepreneur. Growing up in a single-wide trailer in a single-parent household, he defied the odds to achieve success. The military and his faith guided him out of challenging circumstances. His perspective shifted when he expanded his network, seeking guidance from coaches and mentors who embodied the lifestyle he aspired to.

In 2016, he launched his first business and has since collaborated with multiple brands. Tadarius's crowning achievement involves transforming a food business from inception to a six-figure income with a remarkable profit range of 300%. Beyond entrepreneurship, he is an acclaimed gospel mime artist, having ministered across the United States and appeared on the prestigious Bobby Jones Gospel television broadcast. His ultimate ambition is to be the mentor he lacked in his youth, supporting people from similar backgrounds to enhance their lives. Despite facing numerous trials, Tadarius attributes his resilience to his unwavering faith. Currently, he is transitioning towards establishing a faith-based consulting firm aimed at offering self-help, development, business, life, and success coaching services.
