As we wrap up our series in the book of Ephesians, we will look at the letter that Jesus wrote to this church. He had some good things to say, but He also warned them that their light was in danger of being extinguished because they were not putting Him first anymore.

Our enemy is more intelligent and stronger than we are, constantly plotting our demise. If we do not take him seriously, we will be defeated. Fortunately, God has not only given us the instructions to prepare us for life but also the resources to live life victoriously.

God explains His plan for marriage and the roles the husband and wife should fulfill.

God's plan to control you is not to make you miserable but to make you understand and enjoy life. He wants you to have a heart that is principled and pliable.

In life, we are all following someone. There are people that we look up to and emulate. Jesus calls us to ultimately mimic Him. He does not want us to conform to the world but to seek to pattern our lives according to the Scriptures. In this passage, Paul gives us some efficient steps on what this looks like.

Just as crude oil needs to be refined to be usable, God plans to refine you daily to make you into the image of Jesus Christ. He loves you just the way that you are, but He does not want you to stay that way. He is working, often slowly and silently, to refine you into Christlikeness.
