The Solemnity of the Ascension of Jesus Christ, also called Ascension Day, Ascension Thursday, or sometimes Holy Thursday, commemorates the bodily Ascension of Jesus into Heaven. It is one of the ecumenical feasts, ranking with the feasts of the Passion and Pentecost.
