    Be Like Kids

    Be Like Kids

Living Water Series | Be Like Kids

Heading into the week of Summer Vibes, what does it mean to return to a childlike state in our relationship with God? Jesus invites us to come before Him boldly and receive from Him with the simplicity of a child. Above all, God is calling us to an intimate relationship with Him as a kid has with a loving father, and this closeness models a relationship with God that the next generation can recognize and understand.

    1. Boldness - "let the little children com to me"
    2. Receiving - "receive the kingdom of God like a little child"
    3. Intimacy - "he took the children in his arms, places his hands on them and blessed them"

    Verses:
    Mark 10:13-16, NIV
    Hebrews 4:16, NIV
    James 4:8a, NIV

"The Bible was written for us, not to us."
"The Father's heart is moved by the prayers of his children, regardless of age."
"You never grow out of receiving like a child."
"It pleases the Father to give, so it should please me to receive."
"When it comes to intimacy with you, God's 'Yes' is already on the table."

    Thirsty Again

    Thirsty Again

Living Water Series | Thirsty Again

Pastor Mike brings the first message in our new series "Living Water" titled "Thirsty Again". He starts the series discussing the validity and accuracy of the New Testament as proven through various tests of other historical manuscripts: Copies, Witnesses, Audience, Accuracy, Other Writings, Archeology.

For all of those reasons we can trust the Bible as Truth but the most compelling evidence is what it has done in people's lives for centuries.

"Without drinking in living water on a daily basis, spiritual dehydration drains your energy and makes you tired."

"The living water that Jesus is talking about is the Holy Spirit who will overflow out of you and refresh you and those around you."

    A Theology for Spiritual Gifts

    A Theology for Spiritual Gifts

More Than Words: A Theology Series | A Theology for Spiritual Gifts

Pastor Jarod and Pastor Mike discuss a theology for spiritual gifts, emphasizing the importance and variety of gifts given by God. They reference biblical passages to explain the different types of gifts like prophecy, serving, and teaching. The sermon addresses misconceptions about spiritual gifts and encourages using them to benefit the church. They conclude with a call to action for the congregation to embrace and utilize their spiritual gifts for the common good.

The Bible is more than a collection of words. We believe it is the Word of God. And on the mark of our 7th year as church, this series was created to expound on our theological foundation. Where do we stand as a church doctrinally, what’s the basis for our faith and practice on any number of topics? That’s a question we believe God has called us to answer for you during this series.

    A Theology for Pentecost

    A Theology for Pentecost

More Than Words: A Theology Series | A Theology for the Pentecost

Pastor Jarod's sermon, "A Theology For Pentecost" delves into the significance of Pentecost, highlighting the events of Acts 2 where believers were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues. The tongues of fire symbolized God's presence and power, emphasizing the diversity within the church. Speaking in tongues can manifest as speaking different languages or a spiritual language, but the key is to have a genuine relationship with God and be open to the Holy Spirit's work in our lives.

    A Theology for the Cross

    A Theology for the Cross

More Than Words: A Theology Series | A Theology for the Cross

The sermon "A Theology for the Cross" by Pastor Michael Stephens explores the significance of the cross, highlighting it as part of God's already-designed plan for salvation, rather than a reaction to human sin. The message addresses objections to the cross, arguing it was necessary for salvation due to the shedding of blood law for forgiveness and it traces the concept of the cross back to the Garden of Eden, linking it to God's eternal design for redemption.
