In today’s episode of Figuring Out, we have Dinesh Thakkar in conversation with Raj Shamani. He is the managing director of Angel One which is a Fintech company providing broking services, margin trading facilities, research services, depository services, investment education, and financial products distribution to its clients.

In this episode, we started talking about his journey of starting Angel One from scratch, and how he took 1.5cr-2crs from his friends, and how their investment has turned into 100s of crores. He also shared how Harshad Mehta's scam affected the market and how he came out of it. He then shared how his company is growing around 80-85% consumer base every year and how much profits they make. We discussed what went wrong in Paytm, what is the new generation investing in, and three tips that he would like to give any young person who is just starting their investment journey.

We talked about the mistakes people make while investing and what are the things they should avoid. We then talked about why he became the associate partner in IPL and what is his strategy or thought process behind it. Then we talked about the different prices of various collaborations in IPL and how he never invested in equity himself. We ended our conversation by talking about his car collection.

She has written books like ‘Inspector Chougule’, and ‘Madam Commissioner: The extraordinary life of an Indian police officer’. After listening to her life stories, you will realize that she is a fearless soul.

In this episode, we talked about a chapter she wrote on ‘Two and half arrests’ and whether Mumbai police came in the plan of Ajit Doval to catch Dawood. She shared that underworld people Vicky Malhotra and Farid Tanasha were arrested. She shared how she makes clear decisions during critical times and shared the stories on the same. We also talked about the 70 rounds of firing story, how crimes in UP have decreased, and explained the back story of the Jalgaon sex scandal. We discussed whether politicians use IPS officers as their puppets and stories of crimes in Pune and Mumbai in the late 90s

Towards the end we talked about how big gangsters used work, what was their motivation and how they became so powerful. She shared a crazy story of a female stalker that will shock you. In today’s episode of Figuring Out, we have Srikanth Bolla in conversation with Raj Shamani. He is the Founder and Chairman of Bollant Industries. He is the first international blind student in Management Science at the Sloan School of Management of Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

He also shared how he deals with bullies and disrespect with sarcasm and optimism. He shared his story of how he met Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and why he calls him his hero. We also talked about how IIT coaching institutes rejected him and how then his mentors helped him to get into MIT. He further talked about what are some changes that the Indian education system needs to make to get better and the difference between education abroad and in India.

We talked about his biopic ‘Srikanth’ and what all Rajkumar Rao did to prepare for his role. We ended our conversation by talking about how he met his wife and got to know that she was the one. In today’s episode of Figuring Out, we have Dr. Venkatesh Movva in conversation with Raj Shamani. He is a Regenerative Medicine Specialist, an MD in Sports Medicine and he is also Certified in Pain Management. When it comes to the spine, knee, and other body joint health, he has in-depth knowledge.

In this episode, we started by talking about how he treats orthopedic injuries and issues without surgeries. How They started with treating sportsmen but now they have made this treatment available for the common man as well. We then talked about what we should do for everyday back pain, what kind of chairs are best for our back, and what kind of pillows are great. We also talked about why knee surgeries have increased in India and how we can diagnose it early and alternative ways to treat it other than surgery.

Towards the end, we talked about the most common spine problems, and how with proper intervention we can stop them from turning serious. We also talked about weird patterns due to which spine problems are increasing and the side effects of supplements and steroids.
