George, Mikey and Jack sat down with Conall Bartlett, a 23-year old referee, who most recently was a linesman in the FA Cup First Round proper back in November, for the second episode of their 'Inside the life of series'.
Conall discussed his early beginnings with his local football side, the transition into becoming a referee at 16 and his early career as a referee. Conall also spoke about the pros and cons of being a linesman and referee, some of the most talented players he's been on the pitch with and what a match day looks like for an official. The boys also discussed VAR, England's top referees and Conall's other career! -
INSIDE THE LIFE OF: TOM DAVIES - United Youth days, climbing up the football pyramid and overcoming injuries
Jack, George and Mikey sat down with Bristol Rovers defender Tom Davies, currently on loan with Barrow AFC, as part of their brand new ‘Inside the life of’ series.
Tom discussed his beginnings at Manchester United, dropping down to non-league and working at McDonald‘s, his climb back up the football pyramid and overcoming injury problems. We also spoke to Tom about his favourite managers.
Tom‘s footballing journey started with Manchester United, before a move to Blackburn Rovers where he was released aged 16. Davies spent a few years playing non-league, learning his trade at FC United of Manchester, before getting his break into pro football again with Fleetwood Town. Tom has also played for Portsmouth, Coventry City, Accrington Stanley and has a wealth of Football League experience.
