#30: Everything Popular is Wrong | The 4 Hour Work Week Bookin’ It To Financial Freedom

    • Investing

“By using money as the scapegoat and work as our all-consuming routine, we are able to conveniently disallow ourselves the time to do otherwise.”  - Tim Ferris
In this episode we continue to deep dive Step 1 of The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferris and discuss what the New Rich already know - that everything popular is wrong. The truth is….
Interest and Energy are cyclical. By working only when you are most effective, life is both more productive and more enjoyable.
Less Is Not Laziness. Do less meaningless work, so that you can focus on things of greater personal importance.
The Timing Is Never Right. If it is important to you, do it now and course correct along the way.
Things in Excess Become Their Opposite. Too much, too many, and too often of what you want becomes what you don’t want.
Money alone is not the solution. Busy yourself with the routine of the money wheel, pretend it’s the fix-all, and you will create a constant distraction that prevents you from seeing just how pointless it is.
Emphasize Strengths, Don’t Fix Weaknesses. It is far more lucrative and fun to leverage your strengths instead of attempting to fix all the chinks in your armor.
