Since 2020, I've been getting the same question: "Andy, is Amazon FBA dead? These fee updates are crazy!" Despite Amazon increasing FBA fulfillment fees by an average of 5.2%, third-party sellers grew by 18% in Q4 of 2024.
You can still be successful on Amazon—it's all about understanding how to make the most out of opportunities over time.

Weekly Q&A Call - June 20, 2024 - Subscribe & Save will launch for seller-fulfilled orders, How Amazon brands are adjusting to fee changes

Topics this week include: Subscribe & Save will launch for seller-fulfilled orders, How Amazon brands are adjusting to fee changes In the News Links: TikTok's First $1 Million Shopping Livestream How Amazon brands are adjusting to a new normal as fee changes squeeze margins Questions answered on today's call: I know you preach a premium pricing strategy, but how do you know how to price your product when there’s a huge range in your market. The low end Chinese brands are selling in the range of $25-$40 per unit, the mid range products are selling around $110-$119 per unit and the high end name brands in my market are selling anywhere from $200-$600 per unit. I’m struggling to determine the pricing for my product. I’ve invested heavily into branding and my brand has a very high end feel. I am also sourcing a high quality product. Not sure where to start with pricing. For Remy and Roo did you apply for a sales tax ID? I know Amazon collects for many states but not sure if they collect for all? How is that handled with your accounting/ taxes? https://www.taxjar.com/ Can you launch 2 different products (in the same category) as a business just starting up? I am selling a product that has custom packaging. Our designer created a custom cardboard box, insert card, and a beautiful outer bag. Think small to medium shopping bag with handles (not a clear poly bag). I want to use the bag as it adds a lot to the look and feel of the product and enhances the brand. So long as the barcode label is attached to the bottom of the bag, are there any issues in including it? Or should we just stick with the box? Thanks for all you do!! #345 - How to get your money back from Amazon lost inventory

#345 - How to get your money back from Amazon lost inventory

If you're not on top of your FBA shipments, some units may go missing because Amazon occasionally loses inventory. In this episode, I discuss how you can get reimbursed for lost inventory. Amazon won't automatically compensate you for missing items—you have to request reimbursement. However, it’s not as simple as sending a message. You need to provide documentation and shipping invoices to prove the inventory is missing. While the process can be tricky and time-consuming, I share valuable tips to navigate it successfully.

Weekly Q&A Call - June 12, 2024 - Registration now open for Amazon Accelerate 2024, Use reviews to improve product launches

Topics this week include: Registration now open for Amazon Accelerate 2024, Use reviews to improve product launches with new Customer Review Insights In the News Links: Amazon is tinkering with grocery business. Some are unsure it’s working Questions answered on today's call: I have products that are not selling as well as expected. But to provide customers more options, it is okay to still leave these products available on my amazon storefront but not run PPC on them? In your 30 minutes a day that you spend on your Amazon brand, what is it exactly that you do and are looking out for? Can you explain what your agency does when you manage SEO + PPC? We’re very interested but just trying to understand more of what all goes into it! How do we protect ourselves by ensuring our Chinese suppliers sign an NNN agreement earlier on in the process of getting samples? I wanted to make sure there was not a rule when it came to placing the labels on your items. My manufacturer has created one large label which includes necessary information such as item number, made in China, my UPC barcode. They also have right underneath that they have the Amazon barcode and SKU number. Is there any rule that this has to be two separate labels? ⬇️ Click to view my available resources! https://andyisom.com/ Some products and resources mentioned in this episode may no longer be offered. Can you talk about the order of setting up a first listing. If you are setting up a brand do you set up a store first? Or when setting up a listing with only two variations do you pick just one for your main image and then have the other as the one other variation? ⬇️ Click to view my available resources! https://andyisom.com/ Some products and resources mentioned in this episode may no longer be offered.
