In episode 4, i am joined by a friend who shares her fitness journey, health and self care. we ask each other questions that we’ve never asked before. we grill on motivation, the inner-outer work to being a better “you”. we share our insecurities & confidence. what’s it like to be “too skinny” or “too fat” for society. we touch on the topic of comparison, jealousy, inclusion and compassion. ask yourself the 5Ws of health and ask how your friend feels about their body. this podcast was definitely a learning experience that opened topics that leaning in louise will defo bring up again!

I am an advocate for Anti-bullying & all things Self-Love. I will never stop being vocal about topics like this and this is only the beginning. There are so many layers to the topic of “body” so stay tuned. *TRIGGER WARNING* In this second episode, I talk about my experience with bullying from childhood to adolescence. I share the “thigh blob” and why high school school for me sucked. I have struggled with low self esteem and anxiety over the way I looked. I now have a strange relationship with boys and men because of it. I dig a little deeper with my eating disorder and also touch topic on “self denial” again. Hope what I have to say resonates with you 💜

Ep 1: Five stages of Self Love & Why Self Love is painful. My experience.

For my first episode, I wanted to share with you my self love journey through the famous Kübler-Ross Model of Grief. This episode will reflect on the stages in a Self Love context and my experience. When I saw Self Love as a form of the Grieving cycle; it made me realize that self-love isn’t easy. It doesn’t come with endless happy endings and shouldn’t be promoted as this step by step journey. It’s messy, it’s uncomfortable, it’s angry, it’s forgiving, it’s compassionate then it’s f****d up again. But each cycle, you become a little smarter, a little wiser and you love yourself a little more.
