Washington Earns Commitments From Two Elite Tight Ends

Washington Earns Commitments From Two Elite Tight Ends

The Washington Huskies are continuing to reel in recruits at an incredible rate for the 2025 recruiting cycle and coach Jedd Fisch has added multiple four-star tight ends over the last few days in Baron Naone, the No. 1 player in Oregon and Vander Ploog, one of the top tight ends in California. Defensive coordinator Steve Belichick and his staff also added in-state three-star cornerback D'Aryhian Clemons and three-star defensive tackle Dominic Macon, who both have incredibly high upside and could develop well under position coaches John Richardson and Jason Kaufusi, which also brings the Huskies up to eight total commits over the last three days and up to the nation's No. 32 recruiting class according to 247Sports.

Washington Adds Two Exciting Linebackers to the 2025 Class

Washington Adds Two Exciting Linebackers to the 2025 Class

The Washington Huskies are starting to gain the momentum coach Jedd Fisch is looking for on the recruiting trail, adding commitments from four-star linebacker Jonathan Epperson, who is also the No. 2 prospect in the state of Washington behind Zaydrius Rainey-Sale, and three-star linebacker Donovan Robinson in the 2025 class. Both are fascinating players with the potential to play multiple positions for linebackers coach Robert Bala, safeties coach Vinnie Sunseri, and defensive coordinator Steve Belichick in his New England Patriots-style defense.

Washington's Flurry of Commitments Has Begun

Coach Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies added two commitments to the 2025 class on Sunday when three-star defensive lineman Victor Sanchez Hernandez and three-star wide receiver Dezmen Roebuck, who both announced their pledges to Washington within 10 minutes of each other on Sunday afternoon. Sanchez Hernandez and Roebuck were part of the 15 recruits the Huskies' coaching staff invited to campus over the weekend for official visits, including Zaydrius Rainey-Sale, Jonathan Epperson, Darius Afalava, Larue Zamorano, Dominic Macon, and more, who could all be part of what appears an incoming flurry of commitments for Washington.

The Washington Huskies Have A Golden Opportunity To Build The 2025 Class

Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies are in a great position to add to the 2025 recruiting class as they have another talented crop of official visitors set to arrive on Friday, including four-star linebackers Zaydrius Rainey-Sale and Jonathan Epperson, three-star offensive lineman Darius Afalava, three-star safety Rylon Dillard-Allen, and three-star cornerback Larue Zamorano. The Huskies are also set to host some promising under-the-radar prospects, including three-star offensive tackle Elijah Vaikona, three-star defensive tackle Dominic Macon, and three-star edge rusher Victor Sanchez Hernandez while a few blue-chip prospects, including four-star tight end Vander Ploog and four-star wide receiver Chris Lawson are getting close to making their decisions.

Washington is doing very well with in-state recruits

Washington is doing very well with in-state recruits

Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies coaching staff need to make sure that it's doing a good job in the state of Washington, and with three of the state's top 5 prospects, four-star linebackers Zaydrius Rainey-Sale and Jonathan Epperson, and three-star defensive back D'Aryhian Clemons, set to take an official visit to Seattle over the weekend. However, one position the Huskies aren't doing very well with is the defensive line, with one of Jason Kaufusi's top targets, Josiah Hammond, committing to the Kansas Jayhawks, while former official visitors Josiah Sharma and Chace Sims appear to be looking elsewhere.

Washington QB commit Dash Beierly is a perfect fit for the Huskies

Washington QB commit Dash Beierly is a perfect fit for the Huskies

Whether he knew it or not, while sitting in his neighbor's garage watching his favorite NFL team, the Seattle Seahawks, and his favorite player, Russell Wilson, three-star Washington Huskies commit Dash Beierly was always destined to end up in Seattle one day. The Mater Dei quarterback followed Jedd Fisch from the Arizona Wildcats to the Big Ten with the Washington Huskies and became the first player to commit to Fisch's coaching staff after he took over for Kalen DeBoer in January, kicking off Washington's 2025 class with an exciting dual-threat quarterback who has helped recruit players like four-star wide receivers Andrew Marsh and Chris Lawson after taking his official visit to Montlake on May 31 and should learn a lot around freshman quarterback Demond Williams.
