Director Cameron Crowe of almost famous tells his life story while using a fictitious band Stillwater that's partially based off the Allman Brothers. Then we have Martin Scorsese retelling a story that was based off Frank, AKA Lefty Rosenthal who managed casinos for the Chicago mob. I have to admit I didn't know these facts before doing my homework and it really only made two great movies even more greater. But the question is, which of these two great movies is greater?

Two movies inspired by true events, both movies also novels in their original form. Two stories retold in award winning films that will forever be known as two of the greatest films ever created. Could Apocalypse Now be the best war movie of all time? I personally would say yes. Silence of the Lambs also might be the greatest psychological thriller ever made. Pain and sorrow can sometimes be exactly what we need to move forward and become who were supposed to be. Two movies that show us giving up or forgetting is not a option. Going up against debatable one of the greatest actors of all time Daniel Day Lewis and he's supported by another fantastic actor Paul Dano. Then back to Magnolia we have the supporting role by the late great actor Phillip Seymour Hoffman. To win this match-up There Will Blood will relay on its two great lead rolls while Magnolia is filled with too many great actors to list. So will we go back in time and choose to strike greatest gold with There Will Be Blood? Or will Magnolia the strange dark comedic drama turn us into alpha males? I've said it before but I might not say it again, this battle is one of the best battles we've ever had on Our Thread. What I believe we have here is two perfect movies. Godfather literally is the highest ranking movie on the internet and for good reason, while True Romance put one of our favorite directors Quentin Tarantino on the map forever. Also giving us one of his best movies so early in his career and right out the gate, setting a trend for casting a bunch of huge stars. Two perfect movies? Maybe, the question is which movie is greater?
