Welcome to the Father's House Augusta podcast. We hope you are encouraged and equipped as you listen to these messages.
Understanding God's Promises
It's obvious that we are living in a tense political and religious climate, and disappointment is all around. It is often tempting to give into the influence of political and religious spirits versus standing upon the truth of the Word and the promises of God. Join Family Life Pastor Tommy Ridgeway as he describes how we can become empowered to understand God's promises instead of blinding and naively believing them without a healthy and intentional process. Lean in as faithful stewards of God's promises--learning to authentically inquire of the Lord.
To Be with Him
Mark 3:14 states that Jesus appointed twelve that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach. Judas the betrayer was one of those twelve. He saw the miracles, listened to the sermons, and more than likely participated in all of the "activity." He was sent out to preach, but there seems to have been something missing. Pastor Chris Jones shares that being with Jesus in captivation of Him and with the willingness to lay their lives down with Him is greater than being sent out to do the deeds for Him. Listen to this heart cry as we seek to be captivated by Jesus above all else.
1 Corinthians 2 versus 4 and 5 reads, "My speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God." There is a Kingdom reality and a stewardship with your encounter with God that supersedes the speeches, agendas, and manmade causes. Pastor Chris Jones shares that it's through the fruit of an authentic encounter and a life-giving relationship with Jesus that will truly change the world.
What's In Your Hand?
The widow of Zarephath found herself in the midst of famine and with only a handful of flour and a small jar of oil left to make one last loaf of bread. The Lord sent the prophet Elijah to her, and the rest of the story is that of the Lord's faithfulness and the widow's miraculous abundance. She didn't even know what was in her hand. Join Pastor Chris Jones as he urges the church to acknowledge what the Lord has been doing among us even though it may seem there is lack and destruction all around.
Wonder Series: Waiting in Wonder
Does Jesus still make us wonder? Do we still seek after Him with hearts of receptivity? Are we blown away by Jesus or are we in a place of desensitization towards Him and a place of wandering. We are being invited to be like Magi in Matthew 2 or Anna and Simeon in Luke 2--seeking Jesus, honoring the King, longing to see to Him, and waiting for Him in wonder. Join us at Father's House Augusta as we acknowledge Jesus as the one we seek in the midst of so much uncertainty and change. Stay for the very end of this message for a special time of prayer, worship, and encounter. Merry Christmas!
Wonder Series: Encountering Immanuel
His name is Jesus, the Deliverer, the One who Saves, and Scriptures tells us that we when encounter Him, we can't help but express that "God is with us." When Jesus was born, the earth was being introduced to an abrupt and open encounter with Grace and Truth as God now physically walked with mankind in the flesh. As prophetically described in Isaiah 9:6, when we experience Jesus, we would be encountering the reality of Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. We hope this message on "Encountering Immanuel" invites you into a refreshing experience with the goodness and beauty of God through the person of Jesus Christ.
