Lisa Woolfork (she/her) is an associate professor of English at the University of Virginia.
She is a sewist, podcaster, community organizer and scholar. She is the founder of Black Women Stitch, the sewing group.
Founder of the award winning podcast, STITCH PLEASE, in July 2018 by Lisa Woolfork, the project grew from the wake of her trauma as an Black Lives Matter-Charlottesville organizer in the summer of 2017.
She joins Sambaza (Sambaza Podcast) & Jen (Woke by Accident Podcast) to talk about her actvism through stitching and sewing.
