S2/E7: Godzilla vs. Kong
It’s been a few weeks between drinks (and films) but Tom, Will are Marco are back and better than ever! This week Tom brings a giant lizard and a giant monkey to the table as he reviews Godzilla V Kong while Marco is on whisky duties, serving up the Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt. Godzilla vs. Kong stars Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Eiza González, Julian Dennison, Lance Reddick, Kyle Chandler, and Demián Bichir, and is directed by Adam Wingard. See it in cinemas. Rated M.

S2/E6: Nomadland
After a few weeks’ hiatus, Marco, Will and Tom are back with the OSCAR, BAFTA, SAG, Golden Globe (and just about every other award show) nominated/winner Nomadland, and at least two out of the three boys clearly agree this is one of the best films of the year! Tom delivers on the whisky choice for the week, bringing the one and only “sweet spirit” - the Delwhinnie 15 year old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Nomadland stars Frances McDormand. Directed, adapted for the screen, produced and edited by the incredible Chloé Zhao. In cinemas around Australia. Rated M

S2/E5: Boss Level
This week Tom, Marco and Will head to an almost empty cinema to see the B-grade action film Boss Level. For those who may be interested, the main takeaways are: Frank Grillo has great abs and Mel Gibson probably now has lung cancer. Will tries to distract the other boys from the atrocity that is the film by bringing in a most delicious single barrel bourbon whiskey from his favourite American distillery Koval. Boss level stars Frank Grillo, Mel Gibson, Naomi Watts and Michelle Yeoh. Directed by Joe Carnahan. In cinemas around Australia and on Hulu from March 5. Rated Ma15+

S2/E4: Another Round
This week Will, Tom and Marco check out the latest Thomas Vinterberg film about 4 middle-aged friends who seek to improve their mundane lives by maintaining a contestant state of low-level intoxication. What could possibly go wrong, right? Marco celebrates this week’s theme by bringing the Auchentoshan Single Malt Scotch Whisky to the table. Extra dram for being able to pronounce this one without help! Another Round (Druk) stars the usual Thomas Vinterberg suspects including Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Bo Larsen, Magnus Millang, and Lars Ranthe. Catch it in cinemas around Australia now. Rated M

S2/E3: Malcolm and Marie
This week Marco, Tom and Will survive a snap lockdown by watching and review the crazy good Malcolm & Marie staring Zendaya and John David Washington. Tom’s zooming in the whisky choice for this week and stays with Japanese theme with the Togouchi Blended Whisky. Malcolm & Marie is written and directed by Sam Levinson with cinematography by Marcell Rév. Available now to stream on Netflix. MA15+

S2/E2: High Ground
Episode 2 of season 2 sees Tom, Marco and Will review another Aussie new release: High Ground. Set in the early 20th century in the remote Arnhem Land region of northern Australia, an indigenous community seeks revenge for an unprovoked and callous massacre by the white colonists. It’s Will’s turn to bring a whisky to the bar, and he departs the Australian shores in favour of a Japanese blended whisky, the Fuyu. High Ground stars Jacob Junior Nayinggul, Simon Baker, Callan Mulvey, Aaron Pedersen, Ryan Corr, Caren Pistorius, Sean Mununggurr, Witiyana Marika, Esmerelda Marimowa, Maximillian Johnson and Jack Thompson. Directed by Stephen Maxwell Johnson with stunning cinematography by Andrew Commis. In cinemas around Australia.
