Shawn Fowler, Drew Dominguez, and Anton Skoro of FIVE365 got a chance to sit down with Mahamed Aly to talk about how he inherited his name from his father and touched on his father passing away when he was younger. He talked about the struggles of living with his aunt for a while before moving into their own apartment. Aly was blessed to train with the legendary Nogueira Brothers while in Brazil and got to see first hand after training stand up for so long the toll it took on the legendary brothers bodies. When he wanted to fight MMA, they wouldn't let him. Looking back now, he is very happy about that decision. Til now, Aly has competed against some of the best in the world and traveled all over as well, but his favorite place to visit is still in Brazil. Coming to the US, Master Lloyd, has helped his develop and morph into a militant, hard working and humble superstar. The birth of his daughter has given him an more thorough focus on how dedicated to his craft he needs to be. Anytime with him is always a good time. Jimenez talked about being bullied when he was younger moving to the states and how it played in his work ethic today to take all the negative and make it a driving force for success today. It also helps if you have parents like his Black Belt Mom and Dad, Gaby and Raul Jimenez. Together, they provided a structure to help and allow him to fulfill his manifest. Jimenez is only 20 years old and has already faced some of the fiercest competitors Jiu Jitsu has to offer including a huge win over Super Star Keenan Cornelius at Black Belt after losing to him at Brown. The sky is the limit for this young gun and he has the chance to win every major Competition and category if he stays dedicated and on route. We can't wait to see what the future holds for him.
