Going To vs Will

I’m a new listener fan and would like to thank you for the great hand you give us every day.
As a Brazilian living in Copenhagen for 7 months now I say, “living and briefing in English” is harder than I expected and sometimes exhausting, to be honest. Thus, even though I’m taking Danish classes twice a week, I decided to review and revisit English... again.
So, in Brazil I was “a reference” among friends for English issues, but depending on it for everything from doctor appointments to job deep technical discussions on a daily basis is definitely “another level”.
Finally, I’ve learned many years ago the slight difference between Going To and Will, but speaking with British and Americans here that subtil difference wasn’t so obvious. Could you please help me on that? Thx;)
