Back of the Net - CISC Barry Slagle

Coming from the Charlotte Independence Soccer Club’s Boys ECNL Academy, Marco Wright joins the Back of The Net Podcast. Throughout the segment, we learn the path Marco took when it came to playing soccer. From starting in recreation soccer, playing in the local competitive program, and working his way up the ladder to the ECNL Academy. We also learn more about Marco’s experience in training with the Charlotte Independence USL League One professional Men’s team, playing in USL League Two and USL Academy team, and talking through his recruitment journey. Marco recently graduated from the Charlotte Independence Soccer Club and will be playing soccer at Campbell University this fall as a freshman. From starting in recreation soccer to the highest level in Boys ECNL Academy to taking us through his recruitment process to play at college. Ryan is byproduct of what it takes when you take soccer seriously and taking the time to continue to development. Listen and learn more about Ryan’s journey.  

Today we are speaking to Kelly Flanders and Nicola Hauk, the two captains for CISC's W League team.  Kelly is a 2018 graduate of Appalachian State and Nicola is a rising junior that is transferring this summer from Delta State to the University of Nebraska.  We speak about the benefits of playing different positions and the different opportunities that the W league is able to provide current and future players.
