There are no easy wins when you're bad

There are no easy wins when you're bad

Isn't this supposed to be the easy part of the schedule?
The Toronto Blue Jays rolled into Detroit and dropped three of four to the Tigers, highlighted by a heartbreaking walk-off loss on Sunday that spoiled an incredible comeback.
We talked about the bullpen meltdown, Alek Manoah's rough outing, the broadcast crew navigating a power outage, and the run that Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is putting together at the plate right now. After that, we looked ahead to this week's series against the lowly Chicago White Sox and a little further down the road as well.

The Home Run Jacket has returned!

The Home Run Jacket has returned!

For the first time in a month, the Toronto Blue Jays won a series. It was against the lowly Chicago White Sox, but, as they say, two out of three ain't bad.
We talked about Bo Bichette's big series at the plate, the three quality starts the Blue Jays got from their starting pitchers, and the return of the Home Run Jacket in the series finale.
After that, we discussed the report that the Blue Jays have talked to other teams about trades involving their core players. Finally, we looked around the American League East and ahead to this weekend's four-game set with the struggling Detroit Tigers.

Blue Jays drop two of three to Rays, Ross Atkins speaks, and more

Blue Jays drop two of three to Rays, Ross Atkins speaks, and more

It's now been a month since the Blue Jays won a series, as the Tampa Bay Rays rolled into town over the weekend and took two of three.
Friday's game saw swingman Tyler Alexander carry a perfect game through seven innings and Saturday's game saw the Blue Jays blow a 4-0 lead in a 5-4 loss. The series was salvaged on Sunday thanks to an excellent start from Alek Manoah and a big day at the plate from Daniel Vogelbach.
We talked about everything from the series with Tampa and also looked into what Ross Atkins said during his media availability on Saturday morning. After that, we looked ahead to this week's series with the Chicago White Sox and the important stretch that lies ahead.

One step forward, another step back

One step forward, another step back

The Toronto Blue Jays earned a split with the Baltimore Orioles this week in a series that was limited to just two games because of rain.
We talked about the team's gutsy victory on Monday, in which they earned a win in extra innings despite not having anybody available off the bench. We also talked about how that momentum disappeared immediately, as Jordan Romano blew a save in Wednesday's game.
After that, we took a look around the American League East and ahead to this weekend's series against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Alek Manoah's great start, John Schneider's decision with the leadoff spot, and more

Alek Manoah's great start, John Schneider's decision with the leadoff spot, and more

    Talk about a rollercoaster ride.
The Toronto Blue Jays were dropped in their series opener against the Minnesota Twins on Friday, they responded with a wild come-from-behind victory on Saturday, and then fell right back into their typical woes with a listless loss on Sunday.
We talked about the team wasting another excellent start from Yusei Kikuchi, the Twins having their way with Kevin Gausman, and Alek Manoah putting together his best outing in over a year. We also discussed the decision to put George Springer back into the leadoff spot after the team scored ten runs in the previous game.
Finally, we looked at a report from Bob Nightengale about a potential trade suitor for closer Jordan Romano and ahead to this week's series against the high-flying Baltimore Orioles.

Blue Jays split series in Philly following closed-door team meeting

The streak of consecutive series losses has been snapped at four.
The Toronto Blue Jays earned a split in their two-game set with the red-hot Philadelphia Phillies. They got pumped 10-1 in the opener on Tuesday, held a closed-door team meeting afterward, and returned with a 5-3 victory on Wednesday.
We talked about José Berríos's first rough outing of the season, Chris Bassitt's clutch start, Jordan Romano's first save since April, and where Vladimir Guerrero Jr. might thrive in the lineup. After that, we looked around the AL East and ahead to this weekend's series with the Minnesota Twins.
