On today's episode of Behind the Back, Ryan Hulsebos (@ryanhulsebos_) and Ty Cunnington (@TCunnington_Lax) talk PLL scores, stats, and highlights from the Group Play portion of the 2020 PLL Championship Series, and they look ahead to the first round of the Elimination Tournament on Tuesday, August 4 (Chrome (2) vs. Chaos (7) - 5:30pm EST on NBC Sports Gold; Redwoods (4) vs. Waterdogs (5) - 8pm EST on NBC Sports Gold; Archers (3) vs. Atlas (6) - 10:30pm EST on NBC Sports). They also talk MVP candidates and are joined by a special guest from the PLL Bubble in Utah, Chrome midfielder John Ranagan.
Elimination Tournament action continues this week! On Thursday, we will be back to recap Round 1 and look ahead to the semi-finals, which will feature the winner of the Redwoods and Waterdogs and the defending champion Whipsnakes (1), who are fresh off 3 full days of rest, and the winners of Chrome/Chaos and Archers/Atlas. Both games have not been assigned times or networks as of Monday night, August 3. The 2020 Championship Game will take place on Sunday, August 9 at 12:30pm EST on NBC, and we will have another show Saturday to recap the tournaments second round and preview the championship.
