Avengers assemble! We've made it, it's time to watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in theaters, but before we do, we've got some unfinished Avengers business to take care of. Naaim Siddiqi from the Rain Delay Radio podcast is back to cover part 2 of the Infinity War story, the 3 hour masterpiece, Avengers: Endgame. This movie is set in 2023 despite being released in 2019, notably before COVID ravaged the planet in real life. With the post-COVID hindsight in mind, it puts this movie in a new perspective and we compare real life trauma of 9/11 and COVID to the "snap." Did COVID accidentally fix the Marvel timeline? Plus, Naaim has a theater manager story where an employee got fired as a result of an early screening of this film and is the final battle scene with all the women heroes just a tone deaf pandering spectacle?

Kent Fellure from the Ritual Misery podcast joins us as we continue our Guardians 3 Marvel watch-through and this time we're covering a Thor movie, specifically Thor: Ragnarok. This movie showcases Loki in a very different light than The Avengers and we've come up with the term "anti-villain" to describe him, we'll explain. Plus, Kent talks about this movie's similar Guardians humor and why these MCU movies break down a long standing trope of "serious" comic book movies and why that's a good thing and despite Asgard being destroyed in the end, as a viewer it seems like there's no emotional connection or attachment to it being destroyed, but why is that?

So, you like cats. Our Marvel journey to fulfill our quest to watch Guardians 3 in theaters continues with Jeffrey Sax joining us to discuss the movie Avengers: Civil– oh sorry, Captain America: Civil War. While there might be a story reason for why this movie is a Captain America movie, it turns out that there were a lot of internal politics between different movie studios that led to this being a Captain America movie, and it requires us to go over the complete history of Marvel to fully understand it all. Plus, Willie makes the case for why this movie should be retroactively renamed to Avengers: Civil War and is this the first big fight scene in a movie that actually makes the movie pace slower?

This time, we'll be discussing the 2nd movie released, Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back. While this movie appears on the surface to just be a Luke Skywalker training session, could it just be more of a reinforcement to make sure Luke doesn't join the Dark Side? Plus, this Star Wars movie along with the others in the trilogy have edits that were made after the movie's release, a total of 4 to be exact. Some Star Wars purists believe that the movies shouldn't have been tampered with, but we discuss why these changes may actually have been necessary, and the big reveal at the end of this movie is the biggest spoiler of all time, does it ruin the viewing experience for a first time watcher?
