I wouldn’t say Saints surprised us in the last two matches, and they shouldn’t have surprised Manchester United on Monday night either. The gameplan was, at its core, the same. Press. Force Mistakes. Take Chances. Make them beat you. And, it worked. The hottest team in the Premier League since the Project Re-Start kicked off was forced to drop points for just the second time since football came back. Star players were held in check, pockets were picked, and Saints left with a well-deserved point after taking an early lead and then clawing back a late equalizer.

It was fantastic to get to chat with Alex and get his thoughts on how Saints have been playing in recent weeks, and assess what might happen going forward, in this season’s remaining fixtures and into next season.
