Get Lost! started with a simple idea, or maybe a simple longing, to get out of rooms, apartments, and houses and tangibly connect with the world. It was created to be listened to in various sites throughout Eau Claire. Some stories are grounded in nothing but facts, while others took a minor detail and a healthy dose of creative license to craft a narrative. There are stories of innocence and experience, joy and sorrow, loss and love, with a healthy dose of humor and colorful language (this was written by a bunch of college kids stuck in their dorms, after all).

8. Wildcard
As we were dreaming up this podcast, we had several pieces that didn’t quite fit in with episodes. So, we’ve cobbled them together for this “Wildcard” episode. It’s filled with fictional stories inspired by the bridges, artwork, and city ordinances of Eau Claire. Get Lost one more time with us as we explore these inspirational places of Eau Claire.

7. Kubb
If you’ve ever spent a summer in Eau Claire, then you’ve seen a strange little yard game called Kubb. In fact, Eau Claire hosts the National Kubb Championship each July, where teams from around the country vie to be champions of the pitch. Get Lost with us as we explore this Viking pastime and its legends.

6. UWEC Campus
The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire campus is often a hive of student activity. Eager (or over-caffeinated) students scurrying to classes, laid back scholars taking a frisbee break before lunch, or wheeled intellectuals crisscrossing the sidewalk to return home. This campus is also the place we call “home.” However, like any dwelling, there’s a history that looms over the physical walls and doors. Get Lost with us as we dig into some of the history embedded in this hundred-year-old campus. (Episode does contain adult language.)

Tucked away along a sliver of land on the Chippewa River is a priceless gem of Eau Claire, Owen Park. It’s a gem we often take for granted as we dash through our daily commutes and errands around town. Looming above downtown Eau Claire sits a mammoth conglomeration of buildings, Banbury Place. While it’s changed names, changed uses, been burnt up and rebuilt, Banbury Place has been an integral part of life in Eau Claire.
