    Helena Harrison: Atlanta, GA USA

    Helena Harrison: Atlanta, GA USA

Hi! I'm Helena Blades Harrison. I kept my maiden name Blades, because that's who I was (and still rep ) most of my life.I am an Air Force "brat", the first 16 years of my life were spent as a dependent of the Department of Defense.

My three favorite quotes are Psalms 24:7 because I love Jesus and for me, He is the King of Glory 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The other is John Keats 'Ode to a Grecian Urn' , "Beauty is truth, truth beauty - that is all ye know on earth and all ye need to know". I'm a design snob.  And finally, "Some day we will be free to go and do what we want to be". Because free.

    Alex Lim: Singapore

Alex is a free spirited and ever-curious individual with diverse interests and experiences that have shaped him into the multifaceted person he is today. Spending his formative years in Singapore, Alex later pursued his studies in the UK at 16. His extra-curricular activities—rugby, hip-hop dance, and musicals—encapsulate this period of his life.At 18, Alex returned to Singapore to serve as a Paratrooper in the Armed Forces, trusting his life to nothing but some plastic and string. He continued broadening his horizons by attending college in Santa Barbara, where sandy beaches and a snowboard team felt like a perfect fit. Graduating with a BSc in Actuarial Science, Alex dove into investment banking, only to face a quarter-life crisis when he realized (DUH) it wasn't the right path for him. With the pandemic as a catalyst, he resigned.Embracing change, Alex embarked on a journey of self-discovery, traveling and placing his trust in another kind of plastic bag and string—paragliding. Tapping into his musical and active side, he also rekindled his love for music through DJing.During this transformative period, Alex met a mentor who recognized his coaching potential. This encounter ignited a new purpose within him, and he now dedicates his time to helping others lead more aligned, balanced, and fulfilling lives.

    What's UP!!

Man, I am excited to be back and to share LIFE WITH YOU! Granted, a lot has changed over the last couple months from when I first recorded this episode, but please know - the sentiments are deeply rooted in the mission and vision of this podcast.

I never considered myself a liar, however, I have truly accepted not being 100% honest in every area of my life, is not indicative of being a truthful person.

Accepting this reality for myself began to open doors I thought were closed, and created space to have honest conversations with myself and those I interacted with.

I firmly believe knowing you ARE free and BEING honest, are interchangeable concepts.

Because I am free, I can be honest.

When I am honest, I am free.

    They work hand in hand.

In this brief introduction, I describe a major life shift.

From denouncing my previous religious beliefs to coping with my best friend's diagnosis with pancreatic cancer, I have found solace with sitting in the unknown.

Over the last few months, grief, loneliness, anticipation, and joy were each intertwined in my lived experience. As my false self unraveled, I discovered a more precious thread, me. I've been clothed with garments of adaptation. Knitted with the capacity to evolve, grow, and change, I've learned to enjoy the warmth of my untethered soul.

Should the sheets of society cover our authentic selves, or should we embrace though we may be cut from different cloths, the fabrics within our lived experiences are inheritably the same.

I am excited to invite you to take a seat at the table. This season, I will welcome five other guest, who are all honored to share a small glimpse into their adaptation journey. I promise you, you will walk away full and anticipating more.

    Cheers to Season 4: Adaptation!
