It's a frenzied, psychedelic onslaught of violence with satirical takes on American culture, the media and sensationalism of said violence. The film is like a fierce storm of frightening, surreal and hypnotic imagery that just doesn't let up. Is it deep or dumb? You decide!

We're back after taking another goddamned leave of absence for a month! Again, we're sincerely sorry for the wait. A lot has happened in the past month, which will discuss in the episode, but I think we can finally get back on track with our regular schedule moving forward.

Tape #25: The Love Witch & Audition (feat. Susan) / A Major Update
We're back after being away for almost a whole month! Again, we're so sorry for delaying yet another episode. As you can tell by the title, we have some major life updates that will affect the show moving forward. All will be explained in this episode.
We're gathered here again with Susan (who is now pretty much a co-host of the show) to discuss a film that is described as a campy, satirical homage to late 60's technicolor B-movies: The Love Witch. It's a very fitting film for the time we're living in as it dissects heteronormative relationships and gender roles/dynamics and how they affect women.
We also catch up on some other movies we saw over this past month such as Audition & Neptune Frost. Plenty of things to discuss in this episode, so don't skip a second!

Tape #23: Hiruko The Goblin (feat. Jules The Nintendo Boy & Trace)

On this week's episode, we're joined by returning furry friend Jules The Nintendo Boy as well as a newcomer named Trace to discuss a little Japanese horror film called Hiruko The Goblin, directed by the innovative Japanese filmmaker Shinya Tsukamoto! Tsukamoto's claim to fame was making a lil' small budget cyberpunk body horror film known as Tetsuo: The Iron Man. After gaining notoriety for making one of the most craziest films in the world, he was able to make his first proper studio film Hiruko The Goblin, which is based on a manga titled Yokai Hunter.
How does the film hold up in comparison to Tetsuo? What does Tsukamoto uniquely bring to the table with this film? All will be answered in this episode!
