    Maurice O’Connell is a great great great grandnephew of Daniel O’Connell, one of the greatest Irish people of all time. There are many streets in Ireland named after Maurice’s ancestor – the most famous, of course, is Dublin’s main thoroughfare. But in recent years, Dublin’s O’Connell Street has become synonymous with open drug-dealing and other forms of anti-social behaviour, and last November, was where most of the Dublin riot took place.

    Sunday saw Cusack Park in Ennis host its first Munster Senior Football Final in 105 years, Kerry won its 85th title beating Clare. The Kerry ladies beat Waterford by one point in Cordal in round 3 of the TG4 Munster Senior Championship. Radio Kerry GAA commentator Tim Moynihan gave his assessment.
