The Dallas Stars drop game one to the Colorado Avalanche by a final score of 4-3 in overtime. On today's episode of Locked On Stars, Joey reacts to the Stars blowing a three goal lead to the Avalanche and a Miles Wood game winning goal in OT. Joey gives his thoughts and reactions to game one which include the Stars incredible first period to build the lead, the best players for Colorado were better than the Stars best players and more. Jamie Benn had a goal and assist in the game and Wyatt Johnston added his 5th goal of the postseason as well. In the following segment, Joey brings up the concerns of playing five defensemen and how that will affect players like Miro Heiskanen, Thomas Harley and others. How sustainable will that be for Pete DeBoer moving forward in the series with the amount of puck possession Colorado had. To wrap up the episode, Joey goes through what we know about both teams after game one. No lead is safe against the Avalanche, Stars need more out of their core players such as Joe Pavelski, Roope Hintz, Tyler Seguin and Matt Duchene, plus Dallas can play a lot better than they did.

The Dallas Stars defeat the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 7 by a final score of 2-1 to move on in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Joey reacts to the game and series clinching victory by the Stars and breaks down the coaching performance from Pete DeBoer. For the first time this season, he put Logan Stankoven on the top line and put Pavelski with Wyatt Johnston and Jamie Benn which really paid off. It was another close game that Stars closed out defensively with fantastic games from Miro Heiskanen and Thomas Harley. The entire defense deserves credit along with Radek Faksa who scored the game winning goal. In the second segment, we hand out our series MVP award which has to go to Johnston who led the team with four goals and seven points in the series. When Dallas needed a hero, he stepped up. Joey also raves about the Stars defensively and how important Chris Tanev has been to the Stars. To finish the episode, we take a sneak preview of the Colorado Avalanche, the second round opponent for the Stars. The series begins on Tuesday night in Dallas, Nathan Mackinnon and Cale Makar are the players Dallas must stop.

The Vegas Golden Knight win Game 6 by a final score of 2-0 to tie the series at three games a piece. Game seven will take place in Dallas on Sunday night. Game six was full of incredible goaltending from Adin Hill and Jake Oettinger, both sides were scoreless 48 minutes into the game until Noah Hanifin scored. Joey explains why Bruce Cassidy went to Hill in game five and how Vegas deserved to win. The Stars were a step behind Vegas and the Knights played extremely well down the stretch. In the second segment, Joey explains why he has so much confidence in the Stars heading into game seven. He believes the Stars have the ability to play much better, and doesn't know if Vegas can go to another level. To wrap up the show, we discuss potential hero's for the Stars and why it is Wyatt Johnston. Joey thinks Wyatt is ready to carry the Stars to victory in a win or take all game.
