The OneWorldYourStory Podcast Episode 5: Erica Buehler // Trauma and Mental Health

The OneWorldYourStory Podcast Episode 5: Erica Buehler // Trauma and Mental Health

Erica joined us for a conversation about mental health and trauma. Her younger brother passed away when she was just 4, leaving her family reeling from the loss. It took years for Erica to even address her feelings on the loss of her brother. Though trauma is a buzz word we hear a lot these days, it’s tough to pin down. Erica’s take: trauma doesn't have to be a life altering event; it can be a stream of endless worry and distress, or just a lingering emotional response that you can’t quite get rid of. There are so many manifestations of trauma, what really matters is that we acknowledge our feelings and work on ways to cope. Erica opens up about her struggle, her journey into therapy, and even some strategies she has employed for dealing with her anxiety and depression.
