Chatz: A Television Podcast Magellan and Allen

I already used all my good 90s jokes for That 90s Show, so I'll just say BAMF! and Welcome to Should You Watch, our semi-regular coverage of currently airing shows. This time, we visited the Westchester Mansion and checked in on X-Men '97, the lauded follow-up to the 90s X-Men show. What did we like about this new update? What left us with more questions than answers? And when will we get the X-Men basketball team AU?!

This week on the podcast, we discuss Bruce Campbell's extremely deep plunging V-neck outfit, Meleager's many spears, and the surprising emotional weight of Gabrielle leaving Xena even for just one episode.

A princess switch? In our beloved 90s action comedy series? AND a trip to Hades to save an old lover? I know I say "this show has it all" like every week, but we really did hit the jackpot with this one eh?

In case we made it this far without knowing how much Xena wears its references on its sleeve, "ACAPB" does a great job reminding the viewer of that while also being a great recap of the series so far. Then, "A Fistful of Dinars" explores genre storytelling, echoing old spaghetti Westerns but in the sword and sandals aesthetic. It's a great time to be watching this great show, and we hope you are all enjoying our discussions.
