Podcast on all things martial arts and life, explored by the small town, everyday, man and woman

Episode 1: Training When You Can't Train

Episode 1: Training When You Can't Train

In the first Pine River Primate Podcast episode, we discuss how having limited time to train, or having periods where we have to stay off the mats happens to everyone at some point in their lives, even before the era of Covid-19. We explore the possibilities to improve and get better in spite of off-mat time, and the strategies we, or others we have met, have taken to practice good physical and mental health when faced with limited training time and/or time off the mats.

    Episode 0: Introduction

Hello, and welcome to the Pine River Primate Podcast: Episode 0, Introduction. We kick off our pilot episode by giving you a short introduction of who we are and where we are headed for the podcast in the coming weeks. We train out of Central Michigan Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Academy, located in small town Alma, Michigan. We pride ourselves with the small town identity, but also acknowledge the challenges of being a martial artist in a small town. So our goal is to provide a platform where conversations can begin, and hopefully benefit those who train and are in similar situations as us in their martial arts journey and in life. We're glad you're here to join us!
