In this somewhat jumbo episode, Metal reveals her Aristocatic origins while Scobb is ACAB: Assigned Chess At Birth. We don't go on any tangents. Lookit that, first episode of 2022, and it's up in February! Oops. To make up for the wait, we've got a very fun, very cute pair of episodes for you. First up is the debut of THE CUTMAN BROTHERS, voiced in the dub by Scott McNeil (x5). Next up is the introduction of another side character we quickly come to adore, a young "man" by the name of Whip! Along the way, Scobb oozes over cool paper animation while Metal fails to recognize key cultural references for Japan and America. We also have more mixed feelings about ShadowMan.EXE and get completely sidetracked talking about an entirely different anime.

After moving in to a new apartment and conquering a stomach flu, our adventure continues with the happiest and sweetest set of episodes that contain absolutely no dismemberment or heartbreak. Get spoopy movie recommendations, hear a quick spat about naming penguins, violate the Geneva Convention, find even more lust for Mr. Match, wonder why the editor used the Candyman theme, and more! Net City has many doors, Lan-boy.

Look at that, we're not dead! And this week, we're here to talk about two topics that totally belong in a kids' show: capitalism and ecoterrorism! Okay, at this point, maybe they aren't so out of place in this show. Along with these concepts, we get introduced to two new EXE iterations of classic Mega Man characters, Magnet Man--who's not to be messed with--and Quick Man, who is easily the most misused character in this whole goddamn series. Along the way, Metal will make a callback for the same genre of person as herself that watched Inuyasha at age 13 as well as the early Barbie movies, and Scobb will reveal that he can't whistle. At all.

This week, we're finally reaching the end of Lan's journey around the world, and his last two stops are Kingland and Nameste. Really. Along the way, Scobb and Metal will learn to never underestimate the differences between the original and the dub releases of any episode. Our first episode plays out either as a story of tough love with a spooky twist or a Psycho situation, depending on what version you watch. Then we get to cringe at some good ol' early 00's anime racism.
