After the awful first half the Colorado Rockies endured in 2024, Evan is physically ill leaving Skyler to find some comfort in talking to his older brother Dustin Timmins who serves as his co-host for the Every Rockie Ever podcast. In this new episode, the Timmins brothers talk about the unexpected removals of Alan Trejo and Elehuris Montero from the roster. They then lament some of the frustrating circumstances and results of the first half, including way too many unfortunate records. Capping things off they debate if the Rockies could find their very own Grimace solution to catch some fire as a team.

It's common for MLB players to eventually have children grow up to be professional players as well. The fun part is when those children end up playing for the same team as their father. In the history of the Rockies they have just one father/son duo in the form of Eric Young Sr. and Jr. An original Rockie in 1993, Sr. was a key player for the Rockies until he was traded in 1997, and he eventually came back to coach. The brothers reflect on his offensive prowess and iconic home opener home run at Mile High Stadium. Then they look to the career of Jr who played several years with the Rockies in a part-time role from 2009-2013. Known mostly for his quick speed, Jr. didn't have as notable a career as his dad, but hey they starred in a great commercial together!

This week, Evan and Skyler discuss the curious case of one Jake Cave going from shunned pariah to man of the people thanks in no small part to his explosive outburst against the one true force all baseball fans can band together against: umpires! What role does someone like Jake Cave play on this team and why is it important? Meanwhile, the rash of Rockies injuries is still less than ideal, but multiple key players are either coming back at last like Kyle Freeland or are very close to returning like Germán Márquez. The lads also take a look at the bright future presented by the Colorado Rockies farm system on all levels, but especially the young men with the High-A Spokane Indians and the Double-A Hartford Yard Goats, both of whom clinched first half playoff berths.

This week Evan and Skyler have a much needed extended venting conversation about Kris Bryant and his time with the Colorado Rockies. The former superstar is aging like a fine glass of milk to the detriment of himself, the team, and the fanbase. Something's got to give because at this point it's just getting ridiculous. This week, Evan and Skyler break down up-to-date injuries and playing time issues affecting the Rockies as they have been skidding over the last week and change. Kris Bryant is back on the injured list, Nolan Jones is still on rehab, and Jake Cave is for some unknown reason playing every day. Meanwhile, Michael Toglia is back in with the big league club and looking to stick around after a very strong series against the St. Louis Cardinals. Oh, and while we were recording it got announced (but not confirmed) that Rockies top prospect Adael Amador was being called up for his MLB debut in place of an injured Brendan Rodgers. The bullpen carousel also continues as the Rockies shuffle through pitchers and veteran journeymen relievers without a true shutdown guy.
