Adieu, QELP! 👉 Welcome to The Divine Spark & ART Podcast 😇

Farewell, QELP, and a warm welcome to the new era with The Divine Spark & Art Podcast!

Since 2020, our initial venture, QELP, The Poet’s LIFE podcast, has graced us with 25 captivating episodes. We delved into riveting discussions predominantly with poets, exploring their emotions, lives, and creative expressions. Now, it's time to transcend mere fascination and opinions, steering away from this mal du siècle, and delving into the realm of Knowledge – understanding what makes art objective, impersonal, and universal.

Our ancestor podcast QELP, is no more, but we have included the most relevant conversations of QELP to Radio {R}évolution and archived the others. You can still access the entirety of the podcast by subscribing to Revue {R}évolution.

    QELP # 21 - 😎 Artist Manal AlDowayan, a singular path

    QELP # 21 - 😎 Artist Manal AlDowayan, a singular path

Manal AlDowayan is a Saudi Arabian artist of many talents with a singular path. A graduate of systems analysis and design, she worked in an oil company before coming out as an artist.
Internationally acclaimed, Manal’s artistic practice - quote - navigates a territory where the personal and the political overlap.
Manal AlDowayan's s art is socially conscious, grounded in the love of Saudi Arabian land, Arabian culture and language, and also contains a universal dimension, which is why she caught Revue {R}évolution’s eye.
In this episode, we discuss the power of invisibility, what happens when women are not pressured by male gaze, Eastern cultural diversity and genius, Manal’s creative genesis and process, fatherly love, and why it’s good to have a job to support you until you can make it as an artist.
Co-hosted by Poet Murielle Mobengo and Awarded Artist Maria Linares Freire
