A little about me: I started my work in music in 1999 when I was the intern on the Rock and Roll morning show on 97FM The Rock with Randy Raley and Mike Doran. From there, I piggy-backed radio jobs with our sister station, 105.7 The Point, working on both stations as an on air talent. After Sinclair Broadcasting Corp. was purchased by Emmis Communications, The Rock was no longer, but fortunately, The Point carried on. Eventually, I would again piggy-back jobs between The Point and 104.1 The Mall. I took a brief break from radio to pursue a college degree in social work.

I received my BS from SIUE and my MSW from SLU. I returned to work at 101.1 The River until the format changed to Movin' 101. I was forced to take a break at that time and it couldn't have happened at a better time as I was pregnant with my first daughter, Camryn. I was now working in the Granite City School District as a school social worker - which is where I am currently employed, had another daughter named Kyleigh in 2011, and was asked to come back to work in radio in the beginning of 2012 for CBS Radio, St. Louis at Y98. I am still a weekend and fill in talent for Y98 and absolutely love my job.

As a huge fan of music in general, as most of us are, I felt that the St. Louis music scene doesn't receive the proper credit that it deserves in terms of the talent that comes out of this city. Therefore, I am taking it upon myself (along with the help of my musician husband Brian, friend and local musician Doug Byrkit of Odds Lane [and too many other bands to name], and audio engineer and producer Sam Maul) to do my part to show St. Louis some love.
