    Sermon passage -

John 10:1-18  "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber.  2  But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.  3  To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.  4  When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.  5  A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers."  6  This figure of speech Jesus used with them, but they did not understand what he was saying to them.  7  So Jesus again said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.  8  All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.  9  I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.  10  The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.  11  I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.  12  He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them.  13  He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.  14  I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me,  15  just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.  16  And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.  17  For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again.  18  No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father."

    King Jesus and the Blind

    King Jesus and the Blind

Sermons from Redemption Church in East Cleveland, OH. For more information go to Redemptionec.org.

    Sermon passage -
John 9:1-41  As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth.  2  And his disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?"  3  Jesus answered, "It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him.  4  We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work.  5  As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world."  6  Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man's eyes with the mud  7  and said to him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam" (which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing.

35  Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him he said, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?"  36  He answered, "And who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?"  37  Jesus said to him, "You have seen him, and it is he who is speaking to you."  38  He said, "Lord, I believe," and he worshiped him.  39  Jesus said, "For judgment I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind."  40  Some of the Pharisees near him heard these things, and said to him, "Are we also blind?"  41  Jesus said to them, "If you were blind, you would have no guilt; but now that you say, 'We see,' your guilt remains.

    Sermon Passage-

John 8:48-59  The Jews answered him, "Are we not right in saying that you are a Samaritan and have a demon?"  49  Jesus answered, "I do not have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me.  50  Yet I do not seek my own glory; there is One who seeks it, and he is the judge.  51  Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death."  52  The Jews said to him, "Now we know that you have a demon! Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, 'If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death.'  53  Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets died! Who do you make yourself out to be?"  54  Jesus answered, "If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, 'He is our God.'  55  But you have not known him. I know him. If I were to say that I do not know him, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and I keep his word.  56  Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad."  57  So the Jews said to him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?"  58  Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am."  59  So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.
