    The 2023 movie Little Mermaid is the latest example of a movie that was supposed to be a movie for kids, yet the movie was made into the second coming of Spike Lee's epic movie Malcolm X. The movie didn't do well in China because “The Chinese are racist”...until a black NBA player visits China and the player is mobbed. The Little Mermaid, a film where many critics of the movie said the lead actress wasn't the weak link in the movie. This CNN interview is a representation of how a movie for kids is seen as a tool for social justice activists.
