Spanky’s Corner Audacy

New quarantined episode with A SPECIAL(ish) GUEST!!!!!   His name is Rayne and he gave Julia her big career break which ultimately led her to whatever this podcast is.  He is also 1/3 of the Wake Up Call on 106.5 The End in Sacramento which you can listen to every morning on the Radio.com app.   He also has a big fancy title ... Director of Music Direction Director or something.  

For yet another week, there was no plan whatsoever before hitting record.  Rayne discusses the dumb stories about how he first met Tyler and then Julia.  They then dive into Chris D'Elia's new special and throwback movies now available on Netflix. 

Where did the Spanky's Corner name come from?  It didn't come from a police officer named Spanky who lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma... but Tyler does, in fact, have a story about a police officer named Spanky who lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  

Last week, Julia and Tyler dove into the best interviews of their careers.  This week.... worst interview of their careers.  THE ANSWERS WILL (probably, maybe) SHOCK YOU!!!!  Is there a Paris Hilton, Anna Kendrick or former American Idol contestant reference?  Probably. 

JULIA HAS BEEN IN THE SAME ROOM AS ZAC EFRON!!!!  SHE DESCRIBES HOW BEAUTIFUL THAT CHISELED HUMAN IS IN EXPLICIT DETAIL!  

Tyler has a story about being hungover and puking at a radio station ticket giveaway event.   Fun!

Eventually, Sonic tries to jump on the podcast from his quarantine.  It was flawless execution using our available technology.  HE BROUGHT DAD JOKES THAT YOU CAN USE TO IMPRESS YOUR FAMILY!!!! 

To wrap up this nonsense, a humdinger of a story about the time Rayne and Tyler's wife got 12 people kicked out of a strip club.  Wash your hands.  

Julia and Tyler jump on from their respective quarantines.  There was no plan going into this episode.  Like, none.  Record was hit and words started flowing.  So, if it sucks more than usual... just know, the next episode will be back to minimal suckage with actual preparation.  This episode was five min after a text between Tyler and Julia that said "wanna do a pod"? 

There's been a lot that has happened since the last sode.  Julia had an ordeal at the grocery store and the Walgreens.  She forgot items.  She had to go back.  She had a bag incident that involved peppers flying unprotected all willy nilly.   It was a horrific series events that changed the course of her day and maybe her week.  Also, Tyler got fired.

It's taken a few days of isolation, but JULIA IS DTF!!!!   Tyler on the other hand got the best dog on the planet over the weekend.

Lauv checks in with Tyler from his quarantine to discuss life.  

His new album "How I'm Feeling" has been out a couple of weeks.  He chats about how the reaction has been.

JoJo has been on FIRE on the socials during the quarantine.  She just did a live IG performance with Tori Kelly and has been showcasing other artists. 

With all the creative people being inside, are we set for an amazing run of new music when this is all done?  She also talks about everything else she's doing while being stuck inside including her JoJo approved list of binge worthy shows.  

Julia and Tyler also dive into how promoting JoJo's new album is different without being able to be out doing a promo tour.

Julia and Tyler tried really, really, really, really, really hard to not discuss the C word thing.   Surprisingly, they did an above average job at that.
