Welcome to Series 2 of 'Talk About It' - The Official Podcast of HOSMS PCN Mental Health Team working in Honiton, Sid Valley Practice & Ottery Saint Mary.
In episode 3, Abby is joined by Lea Bamford. Lea is a mother of two sons whom are both on the autism spectrum, she is an ambassador for DIAS, Devon Information Advice and Support for Special Education Needs and disability, as well as this she is also an Additional Needs Ambassador for Honiton based organisation Parental Minds and runs an additional needs sports group in Honiton.
In this episode Lea talks about her experiences as a mother of children with additional needs, setting up an additional needs sports group, how she looks after her own mental health and the positive impacts of mental health services and community organisations working collaboratively.
