This week we watched the 1951 adventure film The African Queen. he film was directed by John Huston and produced by Sam Spiegel and John Woolf it revolves around WWI East Africa, where a gin-swilling Canadian riverboat captain is persuaded by a strait-laced English missionary to undertake a trip up a treacherous river and use his boat to attack a German gunship.
