The series centers on a Polish Jewish family, The Kurcs, who are separated at the start of World War II and are determined to survive and reunite.

Armstrong's past credits include films such as Little Shop of Horrors, Empire of the Sun, A Fish Called Wanda, Batman, 101 Dalmatians, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, as well as shows like Atlanta, All The Light We Cannot See, and Stranger Things.

Nikki Crawford is a Tony-nominated actress who is now performing at the Geffen Playhouse Los Angeles through May 11 in the show FAT HAM, a modern, Pulitizer Prize-winning take on Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The show came direct from Broadway, where Nikki earned her first Tony nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Play.

FAT HAM is about Juicy, a young, queer Black man whose dead father’s ghost shows up at his family’s BBQ wedding reception demanding his murder be avenged. Juicy then faces the dilemma of whether he should do the deed, or be true to his principles and who he is.

Her notable credits includes Lincoln, Saving Private Ryan, The Princess Bride, Catch Me if You Can, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Mission: Impossible, The Last Samurai and Green Mile.
