Vianney Harelly is a multipassionate artista fronteriza from Tijuana. She started writing in her diary as a little girl to express what she couldn’t verbalize and realized writing was her purpose when she won a writing contest in sixth grade. 15 years later she has 2 books published, Girasol and The Plants Are Burning. She writes poetry to heal her inner child and teen but also as a testament and love letter to her family, culture and community and the generational trauma that haunts them. She enjoys exploring other ways of poetic expression and story telling like podcasting, jewelry making and visual art.
