Noel Thingvall, David May, and Michael May explore the episodes and cities of the Thundarr the Barbarian cartoon in geographical order: not as episodes were produced or aired, but as Thundarr, Ariel, and Ookla would have traveled.
-
Episode 11: Den of the Sleeping Demon
David, Noel, and Michael visit the Grand Canyon to witness Thundarr and Friends' encounter with another escaped slave. But rather than dedicate his life to freeing others, this one wants to awaken a creature with the ability to grant ultimate power to whomever rouses it.
-
Episode 10: Challenge of the Wizards
Michael, David, and Noel ride again, this time to Las Vegas to watch an apocalyptic Cannonball Run when a wizard coerces Thundarr, Ariel, and Ookla into competing for him in a road race against his rivals.
-
Episode 9: Harvest of Doom
Noel, Michael, and David are back to discuss Ookla's kidnapping by crocodile-people, Thundarr and Ariel's attempt to rescue him, and the introduction of a great new character. Also, multiple theories and some great conversation about where this takes place and when it fits in the timeline.
-
Episode 8: Master of the Stolen Sunsword
David, Michael, and Noel are back, but Thundarr, Ariel, and Ookla have not yet moved on from the Los Angeles area. They're in Beverly Hills, dealing with a wizard named Yando as well as Thundarr's diminished connection to the Sunsword.
-
Episode 7: Fortress of Fear
Still in Los Angeles, Thundarr, Ariel, and Ookla encounter slaves that need freeing from possibly the most powerful wizard our heroes have encountered yet. Celebrate the freedom in this freedom-packed episode of freedom.
-
Episode 6: Valley of the Man-Apes
Heading south along the California coast, Thundarr and Friends reach the San Fernando Valley and Hollywood where they encounter talking apes who are gathering pieces of a secret (but familiar-looking) weapon to use in their war against a beleaguered city of little people. Noel, David, and Michael discuss the homage-heavy episode and whether it lives up to their hopes for it.
