Our podcast aims to help athletes, coaches, and parents gain an in-depth view of college athletics from the player's point of view. We intend on using anecdotes from current/former collegiate athletes and coaches to shed light on what happens behind the scenes within college sports. While most of these stories will include personal interpretations from interactions with coaches, we do not want to diminish or undermine the dedication that these individuals devote to their players.

    Episode 2: our stories

    Episode 2: our stories

In this episode, we discuss our experiences with playing basketball at the d1 level. We share what we learned most from the recruiting process and the most significant lessons we discovered on our journey. We explain multiple anecdotes from our perspectives, granted it might not be how everyone interpreted the situations and may not reflect every collegiate athletic experience.

Also, we do not believe that playing at a high level/d1 is necessary for high-level coaches because there are many successful coaches in college and the NBA that didn’t play at their respected levels (Buzz Williams, Erik Spoelstra, Frank Martin, Frank Vogel, Gregg Popovich, Mark Few, Mick Cronin, Rick Majerus, Roy Williams, Tom Crean, Scott Drew). We only highlighted Najee’s experience because from his perspective; he felt that his coaches were unprepared though obviously, it took some level of success to coach where they were.

We know that our audio sometimes blends, but we're working on finding a better app or someone with experience making crisp edits themselves that would be willing to help. Intro

We hope to inspire coaches and parents alike to be more in-tune with the intentions and knowledge of their instructors/instructions because we found it easy as players to trust platforms regardless of intention. Apologies for the random background noises, this is our first episode but it’s only our third day out here.
