The COVID-19 pandemic swept throughout the country during March of 2020. Since then states have ordered strict quarantine and social distancing measures. It wouldn’t be long as millions of Americans filed for unemployment claims and the increase of cases all over the nation. We all thought that this pandemic would not affect the country in its entirely, that out nation’s government would respond swiftly, rationally, and collectively. We were wrong. The pandemic exploits the issues that America is a failed state with its corrupt political class, an unresponsive bureaucracy, a heartless economy, and a divided public distracted by the media. There are differences between the social hierarchies, the Republicans and the Democrats, people of color and native born, you name them. Ideas and reforms between health care, financial regulation, education, race, sex, and religion. A president that declares this virus a war forces many questions on whether we can trust our national leaders. On today’s episode we cover these issues on “What’s Up with America Right Now?”
