It’s A Musical
There’s a lot to sing about in this episode and SJR has been warming up her vocals to bring us some original lyrics. With an occasional mic drop, we still pressed on with our usual program. In this episode, the delegation came prepared to rescue the saints that have been out here eve’ing. What is Eve’ing? It can be defined as a woman that ambushes her fiancé of two years at his job in her wedding gown or as a child that reacts to a room makeover the opposite of what his parents expected. Either way, we have all at some point practiced eve’ing and needed a community like the delegation to pull us out. This episode is rich with laughter and ends with an important message from SJR that is timely and necessary.
He Turned It!
SJR starts this week with a Woman Dissolve testimony. Somehow we still ended up talking about fried chicken. Does communication by any means necessary include petty means? You decide.
If you’re feeling distant from God or having a hard time settling into your life we’ve got advice and snacks to help you on your journey.
Also, support sis.. This week we highlighted small businesses that are apart of the delegation and you can check them out here:
Own Your Truth
From pumpkin spice Mac N’ Cheese to MTA workers secret “man cave” this episode was one for the books! In this episode, SJR starts us off with a moment of truth about her journey to her goal weight. Let’s just say the number on the scale is holding on “the way Rose held on to that board when the titanic sank” From here things went down hill but we made our way back up the hill. SJR taught us how to embrace our truth, breathe, stretch, shake, let it go.....no wait that’s Mase but she did leave us with a valuable lesson of getting comfortable with paying the price to be who we are supposed to be, in other words Own Your Truth.
It’s A Celebration
We are celebrating our 100th episode of the Woman Evolve Podcast, and over the past few years we’ve had some pretty memorable guests but none as memorable as our resident sister Cora Jakes Coleman. Cora came back to celebrate and co-host with SJR and per the usual they were the party. SJR has been clenching her mighty toolbox but Cora wants here to release it into its destiny. Woman Dissolve has become a thing and as we are dissolving on some fronts we are still continuing to evolve in others. From weight loss to trying to come to a conclusion regarding the topic: how old is too old to sit on your dad or stepdads lap, you don’t want to miss this one. Listen to this episode and join the celebration but you must BYOCJ, Bring Your Own Communion Juice! If you are not subscribed to this podcast before you hit play make sure you tap that subscribe button and join the delegation each week as we dissolve and evolve together.
Learn & Grow
It would be unusual for us not to cut up in our weekly fashion, so we did and if the term “a mess” had a definition it would be this episode. Somehow in this episode SJR managed to still help us gain a new perspective on failures and lessons.
When was the last time you checked your BMI? Don’t even answer that or check it Sis, because it ain’t nothing but the devil. From $6 leggings, Coolsculpting, to a lesson on Boo Boo the Clown SJR let Eve host the show, and things took a turn. The delegation showed up and tried to wheel SJR back in but when she gives up carbs in exchange for leafy greens, we are in for some good girl time. SJR left us with the best labor day snack as she taught us how to taste it along the way. If you are not apart of the delegation, be sure to hit the subscribe button and share this podcast with your girls! We welcome you!
