As a citizen scientist and artist Lera has been studying fungi in novel forms since 2015. Some contributions to the field include establishing the first commercial & certified organic grow-op for cordyceps militaris mushrooms in the U.S., launching a leading mycology podcast and being a prominent figure in mycological education.
