Burning Quads Parker Ohlmann

On this episode I sat down with Jake Sundberg, current head coach for St. Charles Community College Track and Cross Country programs. Jake and I used to run together in high school, and have stayed in contact since then. I've always been fascinated with how Jake approached coaching and invited him on the show to share his thoughts  and insights with the cycling community. 

This week I will be kicking off series two of the podcast, which is focused around the themes of leadership, strategy, and development. Collegiate cycling provides interesting and creative opportunities for students, coaches and support staff to take it upon themselves to grow the sport of cycling at the college level. This episode I sat down with out going president Allison and in coming president Jonah from Cal Poly to discussion how they have fostered an exciting club dynamic that with their own challenges has persevered year over year as a great club program in the west. 

Katja Freeburn, a current student a Fort Lewis College sat down with the Burning Quads Podcast to chat about how she got into cycling, rediscovering the joy of cycling and cyclocross opportunities that she never really considered until Jesse Anthony and the MudFund provided a pathway forward.

Katie Clouse, a current sophomore at Colorado Mesa University sat down with the Burning Quads Podcast to chat about how Katie got into cycling, how to keep cycling fun and opportunities she was able to take advantage of thanks to the MudFund program. 

Eric Brunner finished up his collegiate career at University of Colorado Boulder. Still in Boulder, Eric shared his thoughts on the current cycling space in addition to sharing some of his fondest memories from the past four years and MudFund opportunities under the direction from Jesse Anthony. 

Sam Noel is finishing up his senior year at University of Vermont (UVM). We discussed Sam's racing origins, surfing, and overseas racing opportunities thanks to the Mud Fund program.
