It’s not long until the Olympics take place in Paris next month, and as out and proud Rock Climber Campbell Harrison gets ready to show the world what he’s got, Dean had him come onto JOY Breakfast as they discuss prepping for the Olympics, owning your queer identity, Climbing QTs and more.

 

 

There’s a nugget shortage and Dean doesn’t know what to do!

With the announcement that KFC in Victoria and South Australia will not have nuggets available at the moment all hell has broken loose with Dean’s diet. Nugget queen Tash York and work experience JOYster Jack have suggestions, but what is he to do?

Gogglebox Australia‘s Tim Lai got married to his partner of 25 years Mark in Melbourne on the weekend, and before he heads off on a jet plane, Dean decided to grab him on the line and find out how it went.

Toddler Jam is a queer friendly toddler music group run in the west, that creates an encouraging environment for toddlers & pre-schoolers to ROCK OUT with parents and care-givers as they explore singing, dancing, percussion, Auslan and self-expression.

Making music accessible for d/Deaf, hard of hearing and hearing audiences alike is not an easy thing to do – or is it?

Sarah Ward and the team at Fat Fruit (and more) are raising funds to transform their work ‘The Legend of Queen Kong’, a profoundly queer, satirical, visual album, science-fantasy comedy rock opera into something that’s accessible to those who are hearing impaired.

But how does it work?

Help them hit their fundraising target.

Julian is a Mermaid

A glimpse of three women dressed as mermaids leaves one boy filled with wonder and ready to dazzle the world.

While riding the subway home with his Nana one day, Julian notices three women spectacularly dressed up. Their hair billows in brilliant hues, their dresses end in fishtails, and their joy fills the train carriage.

When Julian gets home, daydreaming of the magic he’s seen, all he can think about is dressing up just like the ladies and making his own fabulous mermaid costume. But what will Nana think about the mess he makes – and even more importantly – what will she think about how Julian sees himself?

The star of Julian Is a Mermaid makes a joyful return – and finds a new friend – at a wedding to be remembered. Julian and his nana are attending a wedding.

Better yet, Julian is in the wedding along with his cousin Marisol.
